  • Notes 
    • George could not find work in Manchester and went to work away in Beverley near Hull, he caught Pneumonia and Pleurosy and died there, He is buried in Southern Cemetery in Manchester grave information on file and in scrapbook. He was working as a general Labourer and was in Lodgings at 41 Woodlands Beverley, County of York. England
      George spent some time in the military, pictures on file. His number was R.M.E 4232. There is a medal in his file awarded during the first world war. His military record has yet to be found.
      Alan Gee said his father was a very mellow and laid back person, he used to buy a 5 pack of Woodbine cigarettes and bet on the horses once a week (5 old pence). He never heard his father swear or get upset about anything.
