Holy Trinity, Halstead.
One of the first examples of a Gothic Revival church in the Early English style. George Gilbert Scott was the architect. Inside, graceful arcades divide the lofty clerestoried nave from the aisles. Built 1843/4 through the generosity of Mrs. Mary Gee of Colne House, Earls Colne, widow of Osgood Gee. Mary Gee also met most of the cost of building St. James, Greenstead Green in 1845.
